Second Sawan Somvar: Worshiping Lord Shiva and receiving his divine blessings
Sawan 2021: Sawan or Shravan is the fifth month in the Hindu calendar. Various Hindu festivals like Janmashtami, Teej and Raksha Bandhan are celebrated in this month of Lord Shiva. Also according to ancient Hindu scriptures, the month of Sawan is related to the worship of Lord Shiva, one of the major deities of Hinduism.
Monday in the month of Sawan is considered to be of great importance. In such a situation, where the first Monday of Sawan has been celebrated on July 26, 2021. At the same time, on August 2, the second Monday of Sawan 2021 is going to fall.
While Hindu devotees observe fast for the whole day on Sawan Monday, worship Lord Shiva on every Monday along with Shiva devotion throughout the month of Sawan and seek his divine blessings. In Hinduism, the entire month of Shravan is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Although every Monday of the year is considered special for the worship of Lord Shiva, but all Mondays of Shravan are considered very auspicious and special for fasting. Many devotees observe a fast on Solah Somvar or Solah Somvar from the first Monday of the month of Sawan.
At the same time, all Tuesdays of this month are dedicated to Goddess Parvati, the wife of Lord Shiva. In such a situation, on all Tuesdays of the month of Shravan, women fast and worship Goddess Parvati. This fast is known as Mangal Gauri Vrat.

Worship Mahakaleshwar on the second Monday of Shravan:
After the first Monday of Shravan 2021, now the second Monday of Shravan is going to fall on 2nd August. In such a situation, the worship of Mahakaleshwar form of Lord Shiva is considered to be of special importance on this day.
According to Pandit Sunil Sharma, there is a law to do special worship of Mahakaleshwar Shiva on the second Monday. According to the belief, on this day the devotee should chant the mantra ‘Om Mahashivay Vardaya Hi Aim Kamya Siddhi Rudraya Namah’ with a rosary of Rudraksha for at least 11 cases.
It is believed that worshiping Mahakaleshwar leads to a happy household life. On the other hand, Mahakaleshwar, with his blessings, provides freedom from family discord, Pitra Dosha and Tantric defects.

According to Pandit AK Shukla, in relation to the month of Shravan, it is believed that worshiping Lord Shiva wholeheartedly in this month brings happiness, success and prosperity to the people.
In such a situation, all Mondays falling in the month of Sawan i.e. Shravan Monday are said to fast. At the same time, many devotees observe a continuous fast starting from the first Monday of the month of Sawan till sixteen Mondays.

Sawan Monday 2021: Worship Method
Throughout the month, on every Monday, the devotees wake up early and go to the temple after taking a bath. At the same time, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, devotees should offer water, milk, flowers, bel leaves to the Shivling while worshiping in their homes, perform aarti and recite the fast story.
The first puja should be done early in the morning, while the second puja should be done after sunset. All Tuesdays in the month of Shravan are dedicated to Goddess Parvati – on this day devotees also observe a fast to please Mata Mangala Gauri.
