Under this scheme, most of the paperwork for getting LPG gas connection has been eliminated. Even without ration card or residence certificate, poor and eligible women will be able to take gas cylinder and stove connection. The government will also give some gifts to the beneficiaries under Ujjwala 2.0. PM Modi launched the scheme on 10 August by giving gas connections to some beneficiaries in Mahoba district of UP.
Under the Ujjwala 2.0 scheme, the beneficiaries will not have to pay any gas connection charges, the first gas cylinder refill and hotplate will also be available free of cost. There will be no need to give ration card or residence certificate in Ujjwala 2.0. For ‘Family Declaration’ and ‘Residence Certificate’, if the beneficiary himself gives a self-declaration, the same will be considered sufficient.
On this occasion, Yogi Adityanath said that during Corona, PM Modi has provided free gas cylinders to the beneficiary women of Ujjwala scheme for about six months. Before the year 2014, a large number of people did not have LPG gas connection, which this government made possible. Even those who had a gas connection could not get a gas cylinder.
