Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Friday said the BJP should speak about China’s “incursion” into Indian territory and not limit itself to speaking only on Pakistan. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Raut hit back at the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday when asked about Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray’s stay away from the COVID-19 meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Said, “BJP keeps criticizing Maharashtra government for any petty issue, as if that party has no other work.”

Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha member Raut said, “The party (BJP) should speak about China’s intrusion into Indian territory.” This is a far more important issue. BJP selectively mentions Pakistan, but does not mention China.

Meanwhile, when asked about Thackeray’s absence from Thursday’s online meeting with the prime minister, Raut said, “One day (even) the prime minister may stay away from the meeting.” There may also be (other) important functions. The meeting with the Prime Minister was attended by State Health Minister Rajesh Tope, who is in charge of every health-related issue.

Raut also said that he wants to organize a ‘special health camp’ for Maharashtra BJP leaders like Chandrakant Patil. “Shiv Sena can organize such camps for eye and ear test as they are making false claims,” he said. We will definitely fix them.’

Asked about Shiv Sena’s plan for the elections to the Uttar Pradesh and Goa assemblies, he said, “Some Trinamool Congress leaders are meeting me tomorrow regarding Goa elections. In Uttar Pradesh, we are planning to contest on 50 seats.
