New Delhi. The report of Federation of Automobile Dealers Association of India (FADA) has given good signs for the economy of the country. It has been said in the report that sales in the auto sector have increased rapidly since the restrictions imposed to control the spread of corona virus were eased. According to FADA, sales of passenger vehicles increased by 62.89 percent to 2,61,744 units in July 2021. At the same time, 1,60,681 passenger vehicles were sold during July 2020. During July 2021, sales have increased in all categories including two wheelers, three wheelers and commercial vehicles along with cars.

Maruti Suzuki sold the most vehicles
According to the data of FADA, in July 2021, the total sales of various categories of vehicles increased by 34.12 percent to 15,56,777 vehicles. FADA President Vinkesh Gulati said that new launches and demand in the compact SUV segment remained strong. In July 2021, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,14,294 vehicles, while Hyundai Motor sold 44,737 vehicles. After this Tata Motors sold 24,953 vehicles. Mahindra & Mahindra sold 16,326 vehicles and Kia Motors sold 15,995 vehicles. In July, sales of commercial vehicles registered a year-on-year jump of 165.9 per cent. A total of 52,130 commercial vehicles were sold during this period. In July, 2020 this figure was 19,602 units.

Increase in sales of two-wheelers
During July 2021, 11,32,611 two-wheelers were sold across the country. In July last year, 8,87,937 two-wheelers were sold. In other words, this year there has been a growth of 27.55 percent in the sales of two-wheelers. Hero MotoCorp sold the highest number of two-wheelers at 4,01,904. At the same time, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter sold 2,77,813 two-wheelers. TVS Motor sold 1,65,487 vehicles, Bajaj Auto 1,37,507 and Suzuki Motorcycle India 47,171 two wheelers. During this period, 27,904 three wheelers were sold across the country, which is 83.04 percent more than the 15,244 vehicles sold in July last year.
