In Delhi, a case of calling the police and complaining about a fabricated case of robbery has come to the fore. A PCR call was received at Adarsh Nagar police station at 4.18 pm on Tuesday. It was told that behind the Majlis Park metro station, two boys on a motorcycle robbed Rs 3.5 lakh at the point of a pistol. The caller on the spot was found with 30-year-old Anmol Scooty. He told that he works in the market. Today he brought 3.50 lakh from Mandi and then went to Adarsh Nagar Transport Nagar petrol pump and got petrol filled in his scooty and then went to his home. As the house was locked, he was going to meet his friend at Majlis Park metro station with money.
He further told that when he reached the service lane behind Majlis Park metro station, he was talking to his friend on mobile. Meanwhile, two youths riding a bike hit him from behind and robbed him of cash and mobile phone at the point of a pistol. Then he called the police from a passerby’s mobile. The passerby Harjot did not see any such thing.
As the matter seemed suspicious, the entire route of the caller from Mandi to the spot was checked. On further enquiry, he told that the money was not taken from Mandi but from two friends. These friends told that they had not given any money to the caller.
The last location of the alleged looted mobile was found in Adarsh Nagar, about two kilometers from the spot. On further enquiry, the caller admitted that no money was looted and the mobile phone was kept at his house. Samsung mobile phone has been recovered from his house.
He revealed that he made false calls due to his father’s scolding for losing money in match-fixing.
